Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 8, 2026
Who we are
Echorithm LLC is an independent studio based in the United States. This policy covers our website (echorithm.com) and our games, including Spite and Malice, Turret, and Labyrinth RPG.
What we collect
Spite and Malice uses the display name you enter, a random device session identifier, and temporary room and game state to provide solo and private multiplayer play. Room state includes player seats, scores, public table cards, and each player's private hand. Rooms are removed when the host closes them or after 12 hours without activity. The game does not require an account and does not use advertising or analytics.
Turret does not send personally identifiable information (PII) to Echorithm. Player-entered names, scores, and run history are stored locally on the device. The game can use the device gyroscope for gameplay; motion input stays on the device. No analytics, advertising IDs, or background data collection are used.
Labyrinth RPG may use gameplay, account, purchase, or cloud-save information that you choose to provide through in-game systems. If a feature asks you to sign in, buy content, restore a purchase, or sync progress, that feature may use the information needed to provide that service.
Third-party services
Spite and Malice does not integrate analytics, ads, crash reporting, or social-login SDKs. Multiplayer connections use Echorithm's HTTPS and secure WebSocket server.
Turret currently does not integrate analytics, ads, crash reporting, or other third-party SDKs.
Labyrinth RPG for Android may use Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK to show ads in the free ad-supported version. Google Mobile Ads may collect or share data such as IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, device or other identifiers, and advertising identifiers for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and compliance. Google may process this information under the Google Privacy Policy.
Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Labyrinth RPG is intended for users 13 and older. When ads are enabled, we configure ad requests with protections appropriate for the app's declared audience and applicable law. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it where required.
Website data
Our website may collect minimal, transient server logs such as IP address and user agent solely for security and troubleshooting. Spite and Malice also stores its temporary room state on the Echorithm server as described above. We do not use tracking cookies or fingerprinting.
Your choices
You can use Android and Google account settings to reset or manage your advertising ID and ad personalization choices. You can also contact us to ask privacy questions about Echorithm services.
Account and data deletion
Spite and Malice has no player accounts. The host can close a room immediately, and inactive rooms expire automatically after 12 hours. Players can clear the locally saved display name, session identifier, and last room code through their browser's site-data controls.
If you use a Labyrinth RPG cloud account, you can request deletion of your account and associated cloud-save data from the Labyrinth RPG account page or by emailing brian@echorithm.com. Some records may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or payment records.
Data security
Spite and Malice uses encrypted transport for public browser and app connections and sends each player only that player's private hand. Turret keeps player-entered names, scores, and run history on the device and does not send them to Echorithm. For Labyrinth RPG and our website, we apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect systems we operate. Third-party services such as Google AdMob are governed by their own security and privacy practices.
Changes
We may update this policy as our products evolve. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
